GED Testing candidates should report to one of the Sage Lifelong Learning Centers or another adult learning center of their choice to register for the Official GED Exam. The GED exam consist of five (5) tests: Language Arts - Writing, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts - Reading and Mathematics.

Residents of New Mexico who successfully complete the GED Exam battery are entitled to a New Mexico High School Diploma. Eligibility requirements to be considered as an adult education student include: 16 years of age and older and not currently enrolled in a K-12 educational program. Check with one of the Sage Lifelong Learning Centers or another adult education center of your choice for further information.

 

Special Notice to GED Students: a new GED series of testing will come out in 2011. GED students have until 2011 to complete or retest before the new series is revealed. You will not be able to combine scores with the new series. Students who began testing in 2008 will not have the three-year rule available to them given the restricted time frame.

Testing Fee: $10.00 per Test    $50.00 for the entire Battery

Testing will be at the ‘All My Relations’ building in Yah-Ta-Hey NM Testing starts at 8:00am

                   Testing Requirements:

  • TWO FORMS OF ID: Picture ID (i.e. Drivers License, Old student ID) and something stating your name (i.e. Social Security card, Birth Certificate)
  • Know the test(s) you are taking.
  • Paperwork Completed: Demographic Form & Registration Card)

                   Testing Etiquette / Courtesy:

  • Arrange Child Care, if you have children dont bring child to testing
  • No cell phone, pagers, or similar devices allowed
  • Listen closely to instructions
  • Be well rested
  • Have a clear mind and positive attitude
